In 2000 two of the strongest names in the Newfoundland and Labrador business mosaic came together to offer all major industry disciplines a range of products and services that were quite simply unparralleled in this Province.

Harvey & Company Limited (HCL): With its grid pattern, the red, white and blue House Flag of Harvey & Company Limited is well recognized, as it has been in use for at least one hundred and sixty years. Aside from Harvey & Company, few other firms in Canada, or anywhere in the world, can trace their lineage back to the year 1767.

To place in historical perspective this was -

• Nine years before United States Independence
• One hundred years before Canadian Confederation
• Newfoundland's permanent population numbered approximately 13,000.

Unlike most of the older firms in Canada, Harvey & Company has its roots in the New World not the old. Harvey & Company itself has been in continues operation since 1767. However, its roots go back farther through its predecessor, The Bermuda Trading Company, which had been doing business in St. John's as early as 1699. When this company was dissolved, the Newfoundland representative became an independent company. This independent company evolved into the company we know today as Harvey & Company Limited.

Our roots are in the transportation industry, and today Harvey & Company Limited remains committed to this industry as well as to the construction industry.

In 1995, Harvey & Company Limited became a member of the Pike Group of Companies when it was purchased by Provincial Investments Incorporated.

Nfld Kubota Ltd: NKL was founded in 1990 and became a member of the Pike Group of Companies when it was purchased by Provincial Investments Inc. in January 1999. Shortly thereafter, NKL and HCL consolidated their operations to become a unified, more focused force, and since October 2006 we have been in our current location, a large, modern new facility, located at 88 Kenmount Road in St. John's, NL, from which we service the central and eastern regions of Newfoundland.

Our branch location is at 18 Maple Valley Road in Corner Brook, NL, serving the west coast of Newfoundland as well as southern Labrador.

Harvey & Company sells and services International trucks, JCB construction equipment and Hyster forklifts. Nfld Kubota Ltd. sells and services farm and agricultural machinery, construction & industrial equipment, utility vehicles, trailers and a full lineup of lawn & garden tractors and attachments.
